PARTIES FOR ADULTS

THE ON CAMERA ACTING EVENT: prepare for your film debut!

PRIVATE CORPORTATE EVENTS:
Special Event catered to fit your event…or have an industry night of 15 minutes of fame!

This unique and fun evening allows you to experience the star treatment, as you prepare for your film debut! After arriving on the red carpet, amid paparazzi and entertainment press, “celebrity guests” will be interviewed throughout the evening and the videotape footage will be cut into a DVD memoir of the event. Guests will arrive in the gallery where a scrumptious buffet and martini bar awaits.

• Guests aka “actors” have a choice of first having their makeup applied or touched up or going straight to the “loveseat” where candid photos will be taken.

• Scripts ranging from comedy to action adventure to sizzling romantic scripts will be handed out and acting exercises will be led to meet with Edgemar’s Executive Artistic Director and celebrity acting coach Michelle Danner. She will take them through the details of the event, talk & a relaxation exercise. Acting coaches will be going to each person prepping them for their on camera audition.

• Actors will then perform their scene for the camera. A camera person and interviewer will go around posing as entertainment tonight crew interviewing actors for their show. After each actor has completed their audition it will be watched on the big movie screen.
As a souvenir, each of the evening’s participants will receive an edited DVD with the most memorable clips and footage from the entire evening as well as their on screen performance.

• At the end of the night there will be an awards ceremony where “Oscars” will be handed for best actor, etc. Champagne toast at the end of the night!

The On-Camera Acting Event is a truly exciting evening that you are sure to enjoy. All aspects can be tailored to your organization’s specific interests and budget.

THE AWARD WINNING CABARET SHOW

Enjoy the entertainment while you sip on your cocktail from the bar or front stage table and interact with the cast.

Your child can pick their favorite story and have a teacher help them re-enact with all their friends. We provide the props and make the fantasy a reality!

FACILITY

Our 7,500 sq. ft facility houses two professional stages (65-seat and 99-seat), rehearsal and classroom space, offices, and a large lobby gallery. Nestled between a café, salon, retail shops, and an annex of the Museum of Contemporary Art store, the Center is the anchor of the Edgemar complex on Main Street in Santa Monica. The interior courtyard provides a hub for activity and a convergence of artists, businesses, residents, and visitors to this beachside destination. The complex is a stop on the tour of local gems designed by architect Frank Gehry.
